These days, people travel more and more. They discover the world like most of our parents couldn't do. The disadvantage of this change is that it's not anymore about quality but quantity. More destinations, less time and more looking through the lense instead of through your eyes. They say “Travel as much as you can“ but don't travel so much, or in a way that you get used to it and start appreciate less. Remember how special it is that you're able to see the world. Internalize.
INTERNALIZE - PHOTOBOOK
Selfportrait- and bookbinding research - created during my studies abroad in Hong Kong, 2016. The Photobook deals with globalization and the Appreciation of remarkable moments that appears to be more and more boring to us. To visualize this, I did a bunch of self-portraits and assorted them with landscape photographs of memorable places I visited during my time in Asia. If you look quite intensive, you'll find something more "between the lines".
